Position Overview

The Facilities Cleaning Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of various environments. This position involves overseeing cleaning operations within diverse settings, including restaurants and cleaning service companies.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and manage cleaning personnel.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff.
  • Conduct inspections of facilities to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repairs, renovations, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Assist cleaning staff in their duties as needed.
  • Coordinate cleaning activities with other departments.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for the cleaning team.
Experience Requirements
  • No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.
Support Initiatives

This role includes participation in community programs aimed at supporting newcomers, refugees, youths, mature workers, and visible minorities. Responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting newcomers and refugees with immediate settlement needs such as housing and transportation.
  • Facilitating access to community resources and training opportunities.
  • Providing on-the-job training tailored to youth.
  • Offering mentorship and networking opportunities for mature workers.
  • Participating in initiatives that support members of visible minorities.
