About the Role

As a Property Manager at BGIS, you will play a critical role in the management of commercial real estate in accordance with Management Agreements. This position involves overseeing all aspects of day-to-day operations of the property, including accounting, tenant relations, maintenance and repair, security, janitorial services, landscaping, snow removal, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Positive Tenant Relationships: Foster professional and effective responsiveness to tenant issues, ensuring that tenant expectations and landlord criteria are consistently met.
  • Provide Excellent Tenant Service: Respond to tenant requests and problems in a timely and courteous manner, generating work orders for vendors or maintenance staff and following up to ensure satisfactory resolution.
  • Coordinate Tenant Liaison: Act as direct liaison to ensure that all tenant construction activity and landlord work are well-coordinated, organized, and proactively managed, fulfilling lease obligations.
  • Meet with Stakeholders: Meet with property management team, tenants, vendors, contractors, and senior management as needed to review and provide support to resolve operational challenges and implement new initiatives.
  • Accountable for Tenant Communications: Responsible for all relevant tenant communications.
  • Fire, Life, Health, and Safety: Accountable for the Fire, Life, Health, and Safety of operations within the building.
  • Building Presentation: Hold shared accountability for building presentation to ensure a best-in-class image is upheld at all times.
  • Maintenance and Upkeep: Provide assistance in the fulfillment of the maintenance and upkeep of ongoing resources and financial performance.
  • Tenant/Stakeholder Meetings: Coordinate tenant/stakeholder meetings.
  • Quality and Effectiveness: Assist in the preparation and implementation of initiatives to increase and uphold the quality and effectiveness of tenant/owner relations.
  • Leadership and Development: Lead and develop property management staff.
  • Organizational Goals: Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Inspection and Audit: Manage the inspection and audit process for services delivered.
  • Non-Conformances and Critical Incidents: Manage and report non-conformances and critical incidents.
Requirements
  • Education: Community college diploma or equivalent training (CPM, RPA, FMA).
  • Experience: More than five years up to ten years of directly relevant Commercial Real Estate Property Management experience.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with peers, managers, and clients (French and English).
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Security Clearance: Security level 2 clearance.
