Personal Support Worker Role Overview

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is in search of a committed full-time Personal Support Worker for the Psychosis Recovery and Treatment Unit 7 on a temporary basis.

In the capacity of a Personal Support Worker, you will collaborate closely with the nursing team to deliver vital care and assistance to clients within the Integrated Rehabilitation Unit Program. Your duties will encompass aiding clients with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), escorting them to various appointments, and ensuring a secure environment.

Ideal candidates should possess a Personal Support Care Worker Certificate, have completed Grade 12 education, and hold a current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification. Experience in mental health and psychiatric settings is advantageous, along with skills in crisis prevention and intervention.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Personal Support Care Worker Certificate
  • Completion of Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification
  • Experience in mental health and psychiatric care
