Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our team. As a PSW, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who require assistance with daily living activities due to aging, injury, surgery, or illness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Offer companionship and engage in social activities with clients.
  • Assist clients with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, dishes, and vacuuming.
  • Prepare basic meals and assist with feeding, if required.
  • Provide respite care for primary caregivers.
  • Reminisce with clients about their past experiences and encourage meaningful conversations.
  • Transport clients to appointments or errands as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care.

Qualifications

  • Possess a valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from an accredited program.
  • Have a minimum of one year of experience working as a PSW in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Be physically fit and able to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
