Job Title: Tile Installer

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at NPC NORTHLAND BUILDERS INC. as a key member of our construction team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing ceramic tiles, mosaics, and other flooring materials in residential and commercial settings. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work at heights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with tiles
  • Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field
  • Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Attention to detail
  • Hand-eye coordination
