Position Overview

As a Tile Installation Specialist at United Floors, you will be responsible for the precise installation of various types of tiles in both commercial and residential settings. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Work Environment
  • Work Term: Permanent

  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in tile installation or equivalent experience
Physical Demands

This position is physically demanding and involves handling heavy materials, bending, crouching, and kneeling. Candidates must have the ability to distinguish between colors and possess excellent hand-eye coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and measure surfaces for tile application.
  • Mix and apply various adhesives using hand tools.
  • Set tiles accurately and ensure proper alignment.
  • Cut tiles to fit around obstacles using both hand and power tools.
  • Pack grout into joints and maintain a clean work area.
  • Replace damaged tiles and create decorative designs using mosaic techniques.
Supervision and Teamwork

You will be expected to supervise a small team of 1 to 2 individuals, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Transportation Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation are necessary.
