Job Overview

The Financial Systems Specialist role embodies a high level of proficiency in product expertise within WinAir. This position requires the individual to adeptly traverse various sectors of the organization to assist multiple teams and projects throughout the business cycle. Utilizing comprehensive accounting acumen, the Financial Systems Specialist acts as a crucial asset in areas such as offering expert perspectives to tackle industry challenges, supporting WinAir products, training, aircraft services, business and technical analysis, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Finance Consultant, your duties will include:

  • Engaging with clients to discuss accounting software integrations with WinAir.
  • Providing internal guidance to other subject matter experts on accounting best practices.
  • Delivering product demonstrations to prospective and existing customers regarding accounting software integrations and best practices.
  • Assisting in the product development lifecycle to enhance accounting functionalities within WinAir.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure comprehensive documentation and training materials are available concerning accounting functionalities.
  • Managing customer relationships with financial teams.

Qualifications

Education & Training

  • Mandatory post-secondary education in accounting.
  • Optional post-secondary education in aviation or a technical/software background.

Experience

  • Knowledge of the accounting industry with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Previous experience in aviation is advantageous, including familiarity with aviation terminology and concepts.
  • Experience with WinAir or similar aviation management software is beneficial.
  • Preferred experience in delivering end-user training or consultation services.
  • Technical writing experience or education is an asset.

Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably with an MBA, CMA, CGA, CA, or CPA designation, or equivalent work experience.

Work Environment

  • Must reside in Canada.
  • Ability to work remotely and on-site as required.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Capability to sit for extended periods.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations (valid driver's license and passport required).
