Technical Writer III

Aversan Inc. is a reputable Engineering Company that provides expertise in Systems Integration, Product Design/Development and Software/Product Testing for highly regulated industries. We are seeking a qualified Technical Writer III to work on leading edge technology products.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn new technologies using various software tools to create documents.
  • Determine requirements for Technical Documentation.
  • Gather data from technical staff through various means.
  • Read and analyze schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Collaborate with Product Specialist, Technical Authority, and Technical Instructors to verify content.
  • Plan, research, write and edit hardware and software user documentation.
  • Author documents using S1000D XML Editor and MS Word.
  • Customize data based on differences in BOM, schematics, drawings, etc.
  • Perform desktop validation and hands-on validation.
  • Conduct internal Peer Reviews.
  • Coordinate reviews and signoff processes.
  • Provide innovative ideas and solutions to improve documentation and documentation processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • University degree or College diploma in Communications, Computer Science.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Writer.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills, with an attention to detail and an aptitude for understanding and explaining technical information.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and projects.
  • Organized, with an ability to manage time and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in S1000D XML authoring tool and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of HTML and DITA.
  • Provide general Systems Analysis and Design support for other Business Systems as required.
