Job Title: Welder and Fitter Helper

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder and Fitter Helper to join our team at Southern Cross Industries Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting welders and fitters in various construction projects, including pipeline construction, industrial equipment operation, and heavy equipment loading.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from construction sites.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections on equipment and machinery.
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials.
  • Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and machinery.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work outdoors in noisy, dusty environments.
  • Willingness to relocate and work in various locations.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced construction environment with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks.
