Key Responsibilities:
Health and Safety: Adhere to IRS principles, ensuring compliance with legislation and company regulations in all tasks and responsibilities, including work planning and scheduling.
Technical Proficiency:
Identify and pursue opportunities aligned with business objectives, providing insights for daily operations. Propose innovative enhancement strategies to management and oversee their implementation. Lead and participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCA's) during problem-solving initiatives. Engage with operators and supervisors daily to ensure optimal plant operations and address any issues. Collaborate with Project Specialists on the development, design, installation, and commissioning of equipment. Work with Production to analyze asset performance, including utilization, equipment effectiveness, and lifecycle parameters. Develop, implement, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Assist the maintenance team in establishing appropriate equipment parts for inventory. Initiate procurement processes for necessary parts and equipment to meet maintenance needs. Plan, schedule, and communicate weekly maintenance activities and plant shutdowns. Optimize existing preventive maintenance programs and create reliability improvement initiatives based on SAP data and equipment downtime analysis. Manage contractors as needed.Employee Oversight: Collaborate closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to guide the bargaining unit workforce, ensuring effective execution of requirements through planning, communication, monitoring, and performance evaluation.
Administrative Duties: Maintain all necessary documentation and systems for the efficient operation of the function. Act as a backup for payroll processes for the Maintenance Supervisor.
Environmental and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative regulations and corporate policies regarding environmental standards, food safety, and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field with relevant work experience. 3-5 years of experience in a similar position within a manufacturing setting. Strong technical skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and excellent planning and organizational capabilities. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage conflict in high-pressure situations. Knowledge of safe work practices and their application. Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and Microsoft Project.Work Environment:
Ability to work in both seated and standing positions for extended periods, perform office tasks, travel between various environments, climb stairs, and utilize personal protective equipment as required.
