Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wholesale Buyer to join our team at Choice Wholesale Meats Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring high-quality merchandise for resale, while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and ensuring adequate stock levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions.
  • Product Sourcing: Identify and select the best products for resale, taking into account factors such as quality, price, and availability.
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, discounts, and credit terms to ensure the best possible deals.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the distribution of merchandise to outlets, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise the work of other buyers, providing guidance and support to ensure the team is working efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
