We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at ENRIQUE CENTENO. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the construction and maintenance of buildings and other structures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Prepare tenders and quotations
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Instruct apprentices
- Supervise other workers
- Estimate costs and materials
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
- Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks and responsibilities. The work site environment is noisy and dusty, and the work setting is construction and various locations.
Requirements- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
- On the road job
- Permanent employment
- 40 hours per week
The language of work is English.
