About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Viso Engineering Inc. as a key member of our electrical engineering department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct feasibility studies, design operations, and performance research of electrical generation and distribution networks.
  • Commission systems and components, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and building codes.
  • Develop custom designs for clients, taking into account their specific needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to determine design needs and project requirements.
  • Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Prepare detailed specifications and coordinate access to computer networks.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical design and engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD, ETAP, LabView, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in project management and research and development.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Electrical (CE) Code and electrical engineering principles.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative.
