Overview:
The Sales Specialist for Professional Services acts as the primary authority on Pro sales within the store, delivering comprehensive product insights to customers and fellow associates.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Enhance sales and profit margins by targeting specific customers, recognizing and pursuing sales opportunities, crafting strategic action plans, and adhering to monthly Pro services objectives, including follow-ups on sales and quotes, managing inventory to support sales, processing transactions, coordinating deliveries, and fostering relationships with both new and existing clients.
  2. Deliver outstanding customer service by executing RONA's customer service initiatives and proactively addressing the root causes of customer concerns.
  3. Conduct follow-ups on completed transactions to ensure client satisfaction.
  4. Work collaboratively with team members to assist customers in finding, selecting, and handling merchandise, with a particular focus on professional clients.
  5. Establish business accounts as required and manage government accounts.
  6. Ensure a safe and secure workplace by adhering to company policies regarding merchandising, cleanliness, safety, and vigilance against potential theft or security threats.
  7. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in identifying and resolving customer issues, assisting customers in product location, welcoming customers, managing phone inquiries, building customer relationships, and expressing gratitude for their business.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in entering and processing customer sales orders, including special requests.
  • At least 2 years of experience in identifying and marketing products based on customer requirements and following up on outstanding orders, sales, or installations.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in delivering exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, managing phone calls, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • At least 1 year of experience in promoting product-related services such as installations, deliveries, financing options, or extended warranties.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales environment with established sales targets.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a trade related to commercial sales.
  • A minimum of 2 years of business-to-business sales experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a daily basis without assistance.
