We are seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary team at Wood Street Centre Residential Treatment. The successful candidate will provide a range of services to youth, including assessment, diagnosis, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual needs.
The Psychologist will work collaboratively with a team of professionals, including youth workers, social workers, teachers, and healthcare professionals, to provide stabilization, assessment, and treatment services to youth with complex behavioural and emotional challenges.
About YouWe are looking for a qualified individual with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or School Psychology, and registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners (NSBEP). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of relevant experience, with a strong background in mental health and an understanding of the impact of childhood trauma.
The successful candidate will have experience in the assessment and treatment of youth with significant emotional and behavioral disorders, and will be able to work competently with children, adolescents, families, groups, community representatives, and agencies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized treatment plans for youth with complex behavioural and emotional challenges
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide stabilization, assessment, and treatment services
- Conduct assessments and diagnoses using DSM5 criteria
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including psychoeducational assessments and therapeutic interventions
- Provide clinical supervision and support to team members
- Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or School Psychology
- Registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners (NSBEP)
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health
- Experience in the assessment and treatment of youth with significant emotional and behavioral disorders
- Ability to work competently with children, adolescents, families, groups, community representatives, and agencies

Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
