The Bayers Lake Primary Care Clinic offers a unique opportunity for physicians to work in a turn-key practice with a team of healthcare professionals. With a supportive administrative team, you can focus on providing patient care. This clinic supports care to unattached patients and connects them to Virtual Care Nova Scotia. The clinic operates in a partnership model with other Primary Care Clinics across the zone.
Key Highlights:
- 37.5 hours of work per week
- Sessional, hourly paid role
- No overhead for physicians
- MedAccess EMR system
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Examining patients and taking their histories
- Ordering diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures
- Advising patients on healthcare, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consulting and referring to other medical practitioners
- Acting as a patient's advocate
- Prescribing and administering medications and treatments
- Reporting births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other health events
The ideal candidate will be:
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada
