Automotive Quality Assurance Specialist

Intertek is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Quality Assurance Specialist to join the Business Assurance team. This role involves planning, conducting, and reviewing audits to ensure compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and technical expertise, with the ability to interface with clients and provide training to auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit client quality systems for compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards
  • Assist clients with audit-related questions and provide guidance on quality system documentation
  • Review and address non-conformities in quality system documentation
  • Coordinate activities with assessment team members and manage multi-facility clientele programs
  • Document compliance and non-compliance evidence and write comprehensive audit reports
  • Present audit results to clients and certification boards
  • Provide consultation and training on quality issues and assist with corrective actions and technical writing
  • Participate in audit meetings and processes

Requirements:

  • 4 years of practical experience in automotive manufacturing or a related industry
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards and experience in industries with similar scopes of applicability
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work well under stress and make sound judgments
  • Effective time management and a valid driver's license
  • IRCA or RABQS Assessor Certification is a plus, as is CQA, CQE Certification and completion of Lead Auditor training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IATF 16949 audits qualification and ability to travel internationally
