Position Overview...

The Clinical Pharmacy Expert supports the Pharmacy Manager in all facets of Pharmacy Operations. Provides tailored patient care based on insights gathered during consultations or file assessments.

Key Responsibilities...

  1. Deliver exceptional patient service and assist customers in locating products.
  2. Build and nurture a collaborative relationship with the Professional Services District Manager and other key stakeholders.
  3. Receive and process prescriptions and/or refill requests from Customers, Healthcare Providers, or Medical Facilities.
  4. Ensure all prescriptions are accurately filled, efficiently processed, and safely managed in accordance with established workflows, while advising patients on pharmaceutical products.
  5. Maintain proper storage conditions for pharmaceutical items.
  6. Implement procedures in alignment with Walmart's best practices and standard operating procedures.
  7. Capably operate all pharmacy equipment (register, computer systems, etc.).
  8. Safeguard patient confidentiality at all times and adhere to provincial regulations set forth by the regulatory authority.
  9. Facilitate access to all eligible services for patients (medication reviews, injections, etc.) to address specific patient requirements.
  10. Ensure the Pharmacy remains open and functional during designated business hours.
  11. Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to execute the business action plan aimed at achieving corporate objectives.

Compensation Details...

Updated pay range: $55-$60/h. The pay rate will be determined based on relevant experience, with the specific rate for this position being $55.90/hr.

  • Age - 16 years or older
  • License - Valid Pharmacist License (optional secondary permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
