Role Overview: J.D. Power is enhancing its product offerings in the electric vehicle sector and seeks a skilled Product Manager to oversee our electric vehicle (EV) data products. This role is pivotal in establishing thought leadership within the industry.

About ZappyRide: Acquired by J.D. Power in January 2023, ZappyRide is a forward-thinking software startup dedicated to making electric vehicles (EVs) more accessible. We collaborate with electric utilities and major automakers to facilitate the transition to electric mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy:

  1. Engage with clients, prospects, end-users, and internal stakeholders to identify and articulate product opportunities in the EV market.
  2. Collaborate with senior product management to develop comprehensive product requirements.
  3. Prioritize features and projects across the product portfolio.
  4. Translate requirements into Agile user stories and track success metrics.
  5. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to validate product features.
  6. Demonstrate expertise in the product area to effectively address inquiries from clients and prospects.

Product Delivery:

  1. Manage the product backlog and plan sprints, ensuring clarity of requirements.
  2. Work closely with software developers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  3. Collaborate with engineering teams to meet back-end and infrastructure needs.
  4. Balance diverse stakeholder needs to ensure client satisfaction and high-quality deliverables.
  5. Assist clients with technical inquiries and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  6. Conduct quality assurance and quality control activities.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of product management experience.
  2. Experience with Agile methodologies for at least 3 years.
  3. Proven track record with SaaS products for a minimum of 3 years.
  4. Experience working with data APIs and testing tools like Postman for at least 2 years.
  5. Familiarity with Jira for at least 1 year.
  6. Demonstrated success in defining and launching at least one product.
  7. Experience leading small teams for at least 2 years.
  8. Preferred: Background in the automotive industry.
  9. Preferred: Strong interest in electric vehicles.
