We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Lead, Fire Investigations to join our team at 30 Forensic Engineering. As a key member of our Fire and Electrical Group, you will be responsible for leading our fire investigation team and providing expert guidance on complex fire investigation cases.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of fire investigators to ensure timely and effective completion of fire investigation projects.
- Develop and implement business strategies to grow our fire investigation services and increase revenue.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on fire investigation and prevention.
- Conduct site examinations and document reviews to identify causes of fires and develop recommendations for prevention.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to promote our fire investigation services.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in fire investigation and prevention.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire investigation, with a strong background in fire dynamics and investigation.
- Current registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC and APEGA.
- Current Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) certification.
- Preferred but not required: additional certifications such as CVFI, CFI, WETT, GPL, GPI.
- Knowledge of regulatory codes and standards such as NFPA, NFPA, and other relevant codes.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
