About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant at Deli City Cafe & Catering. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and free of clutter.
  • Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
