Overview

HF Sinclair is seeking a dedicated full-time Operations Shift Supervisor to oversee the Lubricants Plant in Mississauga, Ontario. This permanent role involves reporting to the Area Team Leader and managing a shift team to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operations. The Shift Supervisor will also serve as the primary management contact during off-hours and weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise on-shift personnel, including performance evaluations, scheduling, and adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Promote a culture of safety and respect, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Maintain readiness for Emergency Response and act as On Scene Commander in emergencies
  • Participate in or lead Incident Investigations
  • Monitor operations to meet production goals and enhance efficiency
  • Evaluate and manage risks associated with personnel, processes, and equipment
  • Address community concerns and liaise with regulatory agencies as needed
  • Facilitate communication across the plant and engage with various stakeholders

Additional responsibilities and projects may be assigned by the supervisor as necessary.

Qualifications
  • Significant experience in operating plant facilities, particularly in petrochemical or refinery environments
  • Technical knowledge of refinery processes
  • Proven leadership capabilities
  • At least 10 years of experience in industrial operations within a petrochemical or refinery context
  • Background in emergency response is a plus
Educational Requirements
  • High School Diploma is mandatory
  • Preferred Post-Secondary Education (college diploma or university degree) in a relevant field
