Your Role:
As a Rehabilitation Support Specialist, you will engage both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team under the guidance and assessment of an audiologist, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, recreation therapist, or speech-language pathologist. Your contributions will be vital in delivering effective rehabilitation services, encompassing both direct and indirect client support across the healthcare spectrum, including wellness promotion, recovery processes, management of chronic conditions, and end-of-life care for individuals of all ages, alongside non-client service activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high standards of client-centered care.
- Exhibit professionalism and uphold ethical standards in all interactions and participation in care teams.
- Demonstrate reflective practice and a commitment to continuous learning to enhance both personal and team competencies.
- Utilize your interpersonal and clinical skills to contribute to quality enhancement initiatives, program development, and mentorship of students.
Qualifications:
A diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training is preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with Ambulatory Therapist - Connect Care Training is advantageous.
