Position: Rehabilitation Support Specialist

Location: Powell River, BC

Salary Range: CAD $29.38/Hr. - CAD $30.96/Hr.

Job Overview:

Vancouver Coastal Health is on the lookout for a committed Rehabilitation Support Specialist to become a part of their Long Term Care team in Powell River, BC. This position entails functioning as a Physiotherapy Aide under the supervision of licensed physiotherapists. If you are enthusiastic about empowering clients to enhance their independence, this role is tailored for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver physical therapy services
  • Adjust care strategies to assist clients in reaching their independence goals
  • Effectively communicate with clients and their families
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' health status
  • Provide guidance and education on self-care practices

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Completion of a Diploma level Rehabilitation Assistant Program
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Possession of a valid BC Driver's License
