Senior Python Cloud Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Cloud Engineer to join our SUNRISE team, specializing in Data Engineering and Bioinformatics systems development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS, leveraging tools like AWS DataZone, AWS Bedrock, and others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with local and offshore engineering teams to develop software solutions.
  • Integrate data and existing capabilities into internal chatbots to enhance usability and data discovery.
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate to foster innovation and enable the company to explore solutions in a shorter time-frame.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in developing tools in Python for High-Performance Computing and cloud solutions.
  • Experience enabling various AWS services using infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform and Python.
  • Familiarity with supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning techniques.
  • Working experience with Lambda, Step functions, SQS & SNS (minimum 2 years).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven track record of developing multiple software applications in a production environment.
  • Demonstrated adherence to best practices in software engineering, including usability, version control, testing, and abstraction.
  • Experience deploying high-performing software in cloud environments, with a preference for AWS.
