Job Summary

SkyTrac Systems Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-Op Student to join their Software Test department. As a Software Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

About the Company

SkyTrac Systems Ltd. is a leading provider of specialized airborne SatCom communication solutions for the aviation industry. We design and develop our own hardware, embedded software, and web software in-house.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans for web software and embedded software verification
  • Develop and update test cases for existing and new system features
  • Conduct formal software testing and document results
  • Develop web software automated tests using Selenium
  • Troubleshoot and document software anomalies
  • Participate in software bug analyses

Requirements

  • Programming experience using.Net, C#, or Java is desired
  • Knowledge of electronics at the circuit board level is a definite plus
  • Positive work attitude
  • Strong communication, planning, and time management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Software configuration management tools and principles (preferably SVN)
  • Knowledge of avionics, the aviation industry, and satellite communications are considered assets

Education

  • Currently undertaking a degree in Electrical/Electronic, Computer Engineering, or related subject
