Job Title: Principal Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our Buildings Mechanical & Electrical Department, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of mechanical engineers, EITs, and designers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers, EITs, and designers, providing guidance and support.
  • Act as a mentor to the team, helping individuals develop their skills and advance in their careers.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables on all projects undertaken by the team.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Ensure all engineering work meets quality standards and codes, while ensuring client expectations are met.
  • Review and approve technical designs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Address and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during project execution.
  • Work closely with other engineering disciplines and architects.
  • Maintain and manage strong relationships with clients, architects, and contractors.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in engineering consulting industry focus on the design of mechanical systems for buildings.
  • A valid PEO license.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
