Senior Manager, Indirect Tax

BDO Canada LLP is seeking a Senior Manager to join our Indirect Tax team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our clients and colleagues on Indirect Tax matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Indirect Tax support to colleagues and clients, including research and analysis of tax laws and regulations.
  • Oversee and review Indirect Tax compliance for clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with tax authorities on Indirect Tax matters, representing clients and resolving issues.
  • Assist with tax authority examinations, audits, and voluntary disclosures related to Indirect Taxes.
  • Manage practice matters, including billings, accounts receivable, and client onboarding procedures.
  • Coach and develop junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Identify opportunities to assist colleagues and clients with Indirect Taxes, driving business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with all legislation pertaining to Indirect Taxes, ensuring expertise and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of eight years' experience with indirect taxes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to communicate complex tax concepts.
  • Excellent leadership and coaching skills, with ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong business acumen, with ability to drive business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
