About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Technica Mining in Sudbury, ON. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing leadership and supervision to the electrical team, ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and direction to the electrical team, consisting of licensed and apprentice personnel, to ensure that they are working safely and efficiently.
  • Production and Maintenance Targets: Ensure that production and maintenance targets are met, and that all electrical services, repairs, and installations are completed on time and within budget.
  • Safe and Efficient Execution: Oversee the safe and efficient execution of electrical services, repairs, and installations, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with company standards and procedures.
  • Planning and Organization: Plan, organize, and oversee daily operations to develop and manage sound electrical workings safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Valid Construction and Maintenance 309a Electrical License: Must hold a valid Construction and Maintenance 309a Electrical License.
  • Active Member in Good Standing: Must be an active member in good standing with the Skilled Trades Ontario.
  • Generic Supervisor Common Core Program: Must be trained and accredited in the Generic Supervisor Common Core Program (#770141).
  • Related Experience: Must have at least 3 years of related experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Working Knowledge and Experience: Must have working knowledge and experience with mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to Safety: Must be committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Ability to Plan and Organize: Must be able to plan, organize, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to Adapt: Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Primary Mobile Equipment Maintenance: Must have sound knowledge of primary mobile equipment maintenance and OEM specification.
  • Pre-Employment Testing: Must be willing and able to undergo pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
