Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our instructional team as a Junior High Math/Science Teacher at École McTavish High School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach math and science courses to junior high students
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve student outcomes
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with curriculum and teaching methods
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Math or Science
  • Bachelor of Education
  • Knowledge of teaching math and science at the junior high school level
  • Ability to work in a team environment with staff and parents
  • Effective organization skills and classroom management
  • Ability to utilize technology as an instructional tool
  • An ability to design and implement Individual Program Plans for special needs students
  • A willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom
  • An interest in teaching a wide variety of electives
  • A commitment to continuous professional growth and a strong ability to connect and build relationships with high school students
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching math and science at the junior high school level
  • Knowledge of differentiated instruction techniques
  • Ability to design and implement engaging lesson plans
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
