Advisory Planning Commission Member

The Town of Smithers is seeking qualified individuals to fill two vacancies on the Advisory Planning Commission (APC). As a member of the APC, you will provide expert advice to the Council on planning-related matters, including land use, community planning, and proposed permits and bylaws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice to the Council on planning-related matters
- Participate in the development of planning policies and bylaws
- Review and provide feedback on proposed land use and development applications
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to achieve planning goals and objectives
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of planning principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
