Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sushi Preparer to join our kitchen team. As a Sushi Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food on a regular basis, as well as for special guests or functions. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to stand for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
  • Place dishes in storage areas
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
  • Scour pots and pans
  • Package take-out food
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Requirements
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
