Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership:
  1. Guide the creation and implementation of forward-thinking academic programs in Computer Science.
  2. Oversee the daily operational functions of academic offerings.
  3. Evaluate and enhance the quality, rigor, and completeness of the curriculum, implementing necessary improvements.
  4. Ensure adherence to academic accreditation standards and institutional policies.
  5. Possess the capability to instruct various courses in Computer Science across undergraduate and graduate levels.
Administrative Duties
  1. Contribute to the program's annual financial planning and budget formulation.
  2. Assist the Dean of Teaching and Learning in the recruitment and onboarding of new faculty.
  3. Collaborate with industry stakeholders and other educational institutions to foster research partnerships and experiential learning opportunities for students.
  4. Represent the University at external events and engage in university committees as necessary.
  5. Plan for faculty staffing requirements and workload distribution, advising the Dean of Teaching and Learning accordingly.
  6. Support the introduction of new processes or formats and suggest policy modifications as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. Strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities.
  2. Ability to cultivate relationships and collaborate effectively in a virtual setting.
  3. Proven leadership skills with the ability to communicate information effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  5. Comprehensive understanding of university operations and educational trends.
  6. Knowledge of curriculum development and program evaluation.
  7. Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Qualifications
  1. Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related discipline; preferred teaching experience of at least 5 years in higher education.
  2. Active research in the domain of Computer Science.
  3. A minimum of 3 years of progressive administrative experience in higher education.
  4. Experience in planning, organizing, and managing processes to achieve successful outcomes.
  5. Participation in policy development, management, or curriculum design at the departmental or institutional level.
  6. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  7. Proficiency in utilizing technology for academic and administrative functions.
