About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Little Bloomers Childcare Centre. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Implementation: Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development.
  • Engagement and Activities: Engage children in various activities, such as storytelling, singing, and craft preparation, to promote their learning and development.
  • Supporting Daily Operations: Assist with preparing snacks, arranging rooms and furniture, and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Communication: Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems.
Work Environment

As an Early Childhood Assistant at Little Bloomers Childcare Centre, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Setting: Child care centre, nursery school, or kindergarten
  • Personal Qualities: Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, and a team player attitude
