Overview

The Laboratory Quality Control Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Holcim team. This position is dedicated to supporting our clients through the development of innovative products and providing exceptional customer service. In this capacity, you will collaborate with a team to conduct laboratory tests on hot mix asphalt and aggregates as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established laboratory operating procedures and safety protocols for all tasks and equipment.
  • Prepare and sample hot mix asphalt, perform and report on Marshall Analysis tests, and develop, batch, and test asphalt mix designs.
  • Conduct aggregate testing, including grading and durability assessments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of results and observations, ensuring all paperwork and databases are up to date.
  • Compile test results and organize data in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Maintain calibration and servicing records for laboratory equipment.
  • Uphold health and safety standards and ensure a clean working environment.
  • Engage in fieldwork as necessary.
  • Perform monthly safety inspections and Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRAs) to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Provide support to the Quality Control/Quality Assurance Supervisor and Operations Manager.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Recent graduates from polytechnic or university programs are encouraged to consider this opportunity.
  • Previous experience in laboratory or field testing of hot mix asphalt or aggregates is preferred.
  • This position requires physical stamina, including the handling and lifting of heavy materials such as aggregates and asphalt.
