About the Role

The Business Development Associate will play a key role in driving the commercial growth of Intellijoint Surgical in Canada. Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager, Canada, this individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand the company's presence in the Canadian market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build relationships with key stakeholders, and develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the Canadian market.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Intellijoint Surgical's products and services, and be able to articulate their value proposition to customers.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including surgeons, hospital administrators, and other key stakeholders.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication channels with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and product development teams.
  • Travel: Travel within Canada, up to 75% of the time, to meet with customers, attend industry events, and conduct market research.
Requirements
  • Education: Relevant educational background in health sciences, life sciences, kinesiology, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous sales, customer service, or retail experience is a desirable asset. Experience working in a clinical setting, Operating Room, and/or cadaver lab environment is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong emotional intelligence, ability to use a methodical approach to selling, and ability to navigate challenges and understand roadblocks.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong technical aptitude, including mental math and trigonometry.
  • Language: Fluency in English (Canadian dialect) is required.
