The Director of Program Operations and Delivery will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive support across program operations and delivery teams. This position will be instrumental in streamlining all processes related to educator professional development and systems-level initiatives within schools and districts. This role is essential for offering administrative and operational assistance to Program Operations while ensuring that standardized procedures and protocols are consistently applied throughout the team.

You have a proven ability to cultivate collaborative relationships across various functions and with external partners. You are enthusiastic about contributing to a new program operations team focused on delivering operational support organization-wide and fostering collaboration. You are adaptable to change and eager to introduce innovative and efficient processes. Your attention to detail is exceptional, and you proactively identify and resolve challenges. You excel in organizing seamless events and are comfortable managing both the strategic vision and the intricate details of large-scale projects. Your passion aligns with Facing History's mission and its impact in the educational sector.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Departmental Support: Collaborate with the Senior Director of Program Operations to redesign the structure of program operations, establishing systems for program delivery, data management, event coordination, and interdepartmental collaboration as the program team evolves.
  2. Operational Support: Provide comprehensive administrative and operational assistance to the Professional Learning team, encompassing Staff Development, Operations, and Program Delivery.
  3. Data Management: Oversee educator, school, and district data to ensure accuracy and integrity within the Program team, tracking monthly and annual objectives.
  4. Financial Oversight: Assist program leadership with expense reporting; monitor expenditures against the Program budget and facilitate monthly reviews of year-to-date actuals.
  5. System Development: Create systems to effectively manage information across Program teams, ensuring clear communication channels are established and maintained as new processes are implemented.
  6. Event Coordination: Manage logistics and planning for significant program activities, including retreats and study trips, by liaising with vendors and providing logistical support for participants.

Qualifications:

  1. At least 5 years of experience in high-level administrative support, program management, or operational assistance.
  2. Experience in educational and/or non-profit environments is highly preferred.
  3. Self-motivated and independent with a creative approach; experience in remote work settings is a plus.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels, particularly in virtual environments.
  5. Proficient in project management with the capability to juggle multiple projects and adapt priorities as necessary; familiarity with ClickUp is advantageous.
  6. Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Demonstrated creativity, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
  9. Strong computer proficiency, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  10. Cultural sensitivity and the ability to engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  11. Commitment to Facing History's mission and a genuine interest in its educational initiatives.
  12. Proven ability to manage complex processes and coordinate across various functions.
  13. Experience in budgeting and financial oversight.
