Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning Vice President to join our team at the Government of Canada - Western. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of organizational policies and programs, as well as overseeing the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational objectives
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including senior staff and external partners
  • Provide leadership and guidance to middle managers and directors to ensure the successful implementation of organizational policies and programs
  • Develop and manage budgets and financial plans to support organizational objectives
  • Represent the organization in negotiations and other official functions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a senior leadership role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
