We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at BUY THE SEA SEAFOOD PRODUCTS (WEST KELOWNA) LTD.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety.
- Operate dishwashers, wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and ensure they are properly stored.
- Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, such as cooking and reheating food to order.
- Portion and wrap foods, and package take-out food for customers.
- Restock refrigerators, salad bars, and other storage areas with food and supplies.
- Take customers' orders and serve them at counters or buffet tables.
- Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
- Handle and store cleaning products, and receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
