Barr Engineering Co. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to contribute to dynamic project teams.

This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in industrial system design, construction drawings, engineering calculations, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams on the design and development of industrial systems.
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Conduct comprehensive engineering calculations and analyses.
  • Contribute to the resolution of technical challenges and design issues.
  • Adhere to industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on industrial systems.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) certification or eligibility to obtain.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management abilities and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with Revit and/or Solidworks software.
  • Experience leading CAD designers and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Knowledge of AFT Fathom and/or Caesar II software.
  • A client-focused approach and commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Barr Engineering Co. offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work.

This position is based in either Calgary, Alberta, or Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Applicants should be prepared for fieldwork in construction sites, which may involve rough terrain and potential lifting requirements. Safety training will be provided, and drug screening may be required by clients.
