Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Hospital Smooth Rock Falls Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Job Summary:

The Registered Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients in a hospital setting. This includes administering medications, conducting specimen collection, and monitoring patients' progress. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Conduct specimen collection and laboratory tests
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
