Job Description: Workplace Health and Safety ManagerAs a Workplace Health and Safety Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our associates within our dynamic fulfillment network. You will collaborate closely with operations teams to implement company-wide health and safety policies and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations.
Responsibilities:- Develop a deep understanding of relevant local/regional regulations and company-specific health and safety policies.
- Oversee all aspects of operations to guarantee adherence to established health and safety protocols.
- Continuously monitor performance against established requirements, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive health and safety records, ensuring data integrity for effective reporting.
- Lead and manage projects aimed at enhancing workplace health and safety across the fulfillment center.
- Analyze key safety metrics and incident trends to strategically allocate resources and prioritize initiatives.
- Proactively develop innovative solutions to mitigate risks and prevent potential injuries.
- Conduct thorough audits of recordkeeping practices, ensuring compliance with global standards.
- Evaluate workplace organization and associate behaviors to ensure consistency and adherence to established safety protocols.
- Mentor and guide a team of health and safety associates, fostering a culture of safety excellence.
- Spearhead injury reduction efforts through targeted process improvement initiatives (Kaizens).
- Provide comprehensive training on health and safety policies to site leadership and all associates.
- Continuously review and refine existing health and safety tools and resources for ongoing optimization.
- Collaborate with regional health and safety personnel to share best practices and implement industry-leading initiatives.
- Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience within the Amazon environment.
- 3+ years of proven experience in implementing and managing health and safety programs within a relevant industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in lean principles and process improvement methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information.
- Fluency in both French and English.
- Master's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation.
- Experience thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and develop strong leadership skills.
