Position Overview

As a Meat Processing Specialist at Courtenay Country Market Ltd., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our meat products. Your expertise will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Educational Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare meats for processing by cleaning and cutting.
  • Segment carcasses into sides and quarters.
  • Execute standard cuts of meat, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Package and wrap prepared meat products efficiently.
  • Weigh and label meats for sale.
  • Portion poultry into distinct parts.
  • Grind various types of meat as needed.
  • Create special displays for meats, poultry, and seafood products.
  • Shape and tie roasts and other meat products for presentation.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of supplies.
  • Document sales records for effective inventory management.
Physical and Work Conditions
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Engage in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Prepare for physically demanding tasks.
