We are seeking a dedicated Project Scheduler to join our Facilities Projects team. This role is essential for the effective management of site scheduling and project controls for significant initiatives.

Role Summary:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our operations through the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our site planning and scheduling processes. This position is ideal for a proactive individual eager to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on-site with a rotation schedule, initially training in the office.
  • Champion a robust safety culture across the organization and among contractors.
  • Oversee the creation and regular updates of project schedules, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines.
  • Drive the development of effective scheduling practices to achieve project success.
  • Maintain detailed construction and commissioning schedules, ensuring they are resource-loaded with accurate estimates.
  • Facilitate regular scheduling and progress meetings with stakeholders.
  • Analyze project layouts to identify trends, risks, and opportunities affecting project execution.
  • Publish integrated schedules to the project team as required.
  • Ensure schedules reflect all known constraints from contractors.
  • Provide discipline-specific schedules and report on critical paths to stakeholders.
  • Assist with project controls tasks as assigned.
  • Contribute to the final project closeout report and metrics.
  • Act as the primary contact for all site scheduling matters.
  • Coordinate meetings with project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced certification in Primavera P6 with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Project management certification and trade qualifications are advantageous.
  • Post-secondary education in a technical field or a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling relationships and levels of schedules.
  • Experience with turnaround and outage execution is a plus.
  • Proficient in project control functions, including planning, scheduling, and cost management.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • A self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
