We are seeking a skilled Form Carpenter to join our team at Avenue Building Corporation. As a Form Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our building projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and layout building components in accordance with architectural plans and building codes, utilizing measuring tools and equipment.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials, to create precise and durable structures.
- Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure the stability and integrity of our buildings.
- Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Train and supervise apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge in form carpentry.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of other carpenters and construction teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Estimate costs and materials to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial buildings, as well as wooden structures in various industries, to extend their lifespan and functionality.
- 3-5 years of experience in form carpentry or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations in the construction industry.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work at heights.
