CSN Collision is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Auto Body Repair Specialist to join our team. As an Auto Body Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance.
Key Responsibilities- Review and Plan Repair Work: Review damage reports and estimates of repair cost to plan work to be performed.
- Examine Collision Damage: Thoroughly examine collision damage, including reviewing the complete vehicle exterior body parts, checking all power accessories, and identifying any prior damages overlooked.
- Perform Structural and Complete Body Repairs: Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components, as well as assess, repair, or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories.
- Welding and Dismantling: Weld on vehicles using MIG welders and compression spot welders, and fully dismantle damaged areas to identify hidden damages.
- Surface Preparation and Finishing: File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools, and operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive them for proper handling, and ensure that all repairs meet factory specifications.
- Experience and Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in auto body repair, with a Red Seal License (310B) or equivalent, and I-Car and OEM certifications.
- Physical Demands: Ability to carry, lift, and move up to 100 lbs, stand, sit, walk, and reach.
- Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a recognized auto body repair program.
- Organizational Skills: Strong planning and organizational skills, with an ability to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Communication Style: Tactful, clear, and empathetic communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Collaboration and Conflict Management: Able to manage relationships in a collaborative manner, with a wide range of stakeholder groups and personality types, applying diplomacy to reach win-win resolutions.
- Problem Solving and Flexibility: Has a critical thinking approach to problem solve and is a forward thinker, with the ability to consider problems from all new perspectives and adapt to new ideas and initiatives.
