Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team at Coverdale Clinics. As a key member of our infusion care team, you will have the opportunity to provide top-notch patient care services and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer specialized IV and injection therapies with precision and care;
  • Review and implement physician orders with attention to detail;
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to inform care decisions;
  • Initiate IV lines and perform phlebotomy with confidence;
  • Teach patients about self-injection techniques and general health and medication management;
  • Monitor patient conditions and document observations according to our standards;
  • Provide guidance and support to LPNs as needed;
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in a hospital setting;
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current registration in good standing;
  • Training and experience in medication administration via all routes;
  • Excellent intravenous skills and experience with CVADs;
  • Current BCLS certification and ability to read and interpret technical instructions;
  • Experience in biologics/infusions is an asset.
