Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team at Coverdale Clinics. As a key member of our infusion care team, you will have the opportunity to provide top-notch patient care services and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer specialized IV and injection therapies with precision and care;
- Review and implement physician orders with attention to detail;
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to inform care decisions;
- Initiate IV lines and perform phlebotomy with confidence;
- Teach patients about self-injection techniques and general health and medication management;
- Monitor patient conditions and document observations according to our standards;
- Provide guidance and support to LPNs as needed;
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in a hospital setting;
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current registration in good standing;
- Training and experience in medication administration via all routes;
- Excellent intravenous skills and experience with CVADs;
- Current BCLS certification and ability to read and interpret technical instructions;
- Experience in biologics/infusions is an asset.
