About the Role

PCL Construction is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our industrial construction projects.

Responsibilities
  • Interpretation and Analysis: Interpret isometric, as-built, and engineering drawings to estimate project costs and prepare detailed reports.
  • Document Management: Maintain electronic and hard copy files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Estimating and Reporting: Prepare quantity take-offs, reports, and presentations to support the bid preparation and tendering process.
  • Information Gathering: Solicit, retrieve, and consolidate information from various sources to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with the project team to ensure successful project execution.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of industrial construction estimating experience.
  • Education: An Engineering Technology Diploma or Engineering Degree.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of civil, concrete, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and/or instrumentation discipline scopes; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Personal Qualities: An aptitude for working in a team environment, ability to succeed under strict timelines, and Gold Seal Certification in Estimating is considered an asset.
