Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Agent to join our team at the Nanaimo Airport (YCD). As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for creating a safe and stress-free experience for travelers as they begin and end their journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist passengers with check-in and baggage handling
- Support self-serve kiosks and ensure smooth airport operations
- Prepare aircraft for on-time departures and facilitate deplaning and boarding of passengers
- Greet arriving passengers and provide exceptional customer service
- Follow airline-specific check-in policies and procedures
- Perform light grooming duties and maintain a clean and safe airport environment
- Enforce airline and airport policies and procedures to ensure a positive passenger experience
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of customer-facing experience in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of punctuality and reliability, with a strong understanding of the importance of on-time performance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency with computers and software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Completion or working towards completion of a Travel and Tourism Diploma, Marketing, or Business Diploma
- Previous airport experience is an asset
- Flexible availability to work shift work, including early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to meet all conditions of employment, including a Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada, a criminal background check, and a valid Driver's license
