We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health Officer to join our team at Northern Health. As a key member of our Environmental Health team, you will play a critical role in protecting the health and well-being of our community.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct environmental health assessments and investigations to identify and mitigate health hazards.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce the incidence of communicable disease, injury, and health hazards.
- Provide consultative and education services to the public, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with environmental health legislation, policy, and standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community organizations to promote healthy environments and prevent disease.
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health or equivalent.
- Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada) issued by the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors.
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License and possession of a personal vehicle.
